Valeria Tama is a Quotation Engineer for JST Power Equipment in Lake Mary, FL. She first joined JST as an intern in the summer of 2021.
In her role, she conducts research for designing electrical equipment for industries such as renewable energies, data centers, commercial and industrial. When asked about why she chose a career with JST following her internship she replied, “What made me stay was the familia environment at the company. We have people that have 30+ years of experience here and they are willing to teach you…I love it here!”
Valeria earned her degree in Electronics and Wireless Communications Engineering from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and her Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida (Orlando, USA) in 2021. And she co-authored a research paper on sustainable energy systems in emerging markets.
Valeria enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with friends and family and spending time with her pups, Nikola Tesla, Toñita and Nino.
