This design simplifies the integration and control of battery energy storage systems, providing notable technical advantages in peak load management and frequency regulation within the energy storage industry. Our solutions range up to 38 kV with a single cabinet stand-alone capacity of 5 MWh. Full system support in excess of 2,000 MWh. Compatible with IEEE 1547 and various UL certifications, our solutions can be scaled to meet various applications including utility scale power, data centers, renewable energy (such as solar and wind), commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

Battery energy storage systems designed to support large-scale energy storage are used to help balance supply and demand on electrical grids. Customers rely on these systems to store excess energy produced during periods of low demand or when renewable energy sources, like solar and wind, are generating surplus power. Our grid-scale BESS solutions range from 1 MWh to over 1,000 MWh as both traditional LV and JST’s unique HV cascade solution. They offer reliable peak power supply, energy cost optimization, maximum renewable energy utilization and continuous operation during outages.

This high-voltage, stage-fed energy system uses an MMC cascade H-bridge topology to modularize the system in series rather than parallel. This design enables direct 38kV direct grid connection without the use of a transformer, reducing system losses and improving cycle efficiency. With the technical advantages of “three-high, two fast, one more”, it has significant technical advantages in the application fields of power generation and power grid. HV transformerless BESS enhances the reliability and lifespan of the system through fault-tolerant strategies and harmonic suppression, while improving transient responses and enhancing SCR adaptability through grid-forming control strategies (synthetic inertia injection and reactive power compensation).

For commercial and industrial applications, our All-in-One BESS solutions offer optimal peak demand management, enhanced backup power and resilience and increased power quality and reliability. Customers can also achieve energy cost savings through time of use energy rates and off-peak management. We offer 100 kW / 233 kWh and 100 kW / 215 kWh options.
