Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Northeast Region is responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of sales representatives, and building strong customer relationships within a designated region. The RSM will strategize, plan, and execute sales initiatives to meet or exceed regional sales targets. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills to maximize revenue potential and expand market presence.
A. Responsibilities and Duties
- Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales tactics.
- Establish regional sales goals and regularly monitor performance to ensure objectives are met.
- Team Management
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives.
- Set individual and team performance targets and provide regular feedback.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and implement development programs.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
- Conduct regular visits to client sites and attend industry events.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any issues and ensuring the delivery of quality service.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets.
- Analyze sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Report regional performance to senior management and recommend strategies to improve outcomes.
- Collaboration with Other Departments
- Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support to align strategies.
- Provide insights from the region to influence product improvements and marketing campaigns.
B. Qualifications and Skills
- Strong leadership and motivational skills with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting and performance metrics.
- This position requires approximately 5000 miles of travel annually to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee regional operations.

C. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Experience in Electrical Industry preferred.
