JST Power Equipment Announces Discontinuation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Product Line
Lake Mary, FL | June 5, 2026 — JST Power Equipment announced today that it will discontinue its Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) product line and related activities, effective immediately, as part of a strategic shift to focus on its core power delivery solutions.
Moving forward, the company will no longer pursue new BESS opportunities and will prioritize investment in its established portfolio, including transformers, medium-voltage switchgear, gas-insulated switchgear, and other critical power infrastructure offerings.
“While we’ve made strong progress in developing our BESS capabilities, we believe our resources are best focused on expanding and strengthening our core solutions,” said Jason Lambert, Vice President of Sales – Americas. “This decision positions us to continue delivering reliable, high-quality products to customers across utilities, renewable energy, industrial, and data center markets.”
JST is actively engaging customers and partners involved in current BESS discussions and projects to provide guidance on next steps and ensure a smooth transition. The company remains committed to supporting existing installations, including service, warranty, and parts.
This change does not impact JST’s ongoing operations or its commitment to core product lines. The company will continue to invest in solutions that support evolving energy infrastructure needs across generation, transmission, and distribution.
