Job Summa
The Marketing Engineer – SPT Transformers plays a key role within the marketing department, supporting transformer project quotations, developing marketing collateral, and interfacing with customers and internal teams. This position acts as a bridge between sales, engineering, and customers to ensure accurate project execution and market growth. The role requires strong technical knowledge of liquid-filled power transformers, customer engagement skills, and the ability to support business development initiatives.
A. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review of customer RFQs and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant quotations
- Collaborate with factory teams to align customer requirements with design and manufacturing specifications
- Develop and support marketing literature and collateral for existing and new products
- Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and industry events to promote company products
- Serve as a technical interface between sales teams, channel partners, and end-users
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance market position
- Provide internal and external training to improve product knowledge and market penetration
- Support production teams with engineering assistance and troubleshooting as needed
- Work cross-functionally with Project Managers and Customer Order Engineers to ensure project success
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within marketing and engineering processes
B. Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience in marketing, engineering, and/or project management
- Direct experience working with transformers, preferably liquid-filled power transformers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with software tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP/CRM systems
- Familiarity with IEEE standards (IEEE C57.12.00 / C57.12.90 / UL)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and professional commitment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 15% for customer meetings and trade shows
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
C. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with utilities, industrial, or construction customers
- Experience in data management and database systems
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Understanding of basic one-line electrical diagrams
