Task:
JST Power Equipment is seeking an experienced Quotations candidate for a key position in our organization. This position will be in our marketing department and will be responsible for the quotation of Transformer projects, work with the marketing team developing marketing literature and interfacing with the front-end sales and customs as required to support the business. The individual will be tasked with interfacing with the customer and the internal team of Project Managers and Customer Order Engineers.
A. Basic Qualifications
- Relevant experience in marketing, engineering and/or project management experience.
- Direct experience work with transformers– preferably Liquid Filled Power Transformers.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office functions including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel to customer meetings & trade shows ~15% of time
- Computer software expertise including Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, & SAP / CRM tools.
- Excellent analytic problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple competing duties.
- Strong work ethic and professional commitment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Familiar with IEEE standard (IEEE C57.12.00/C57.12.90/UL)
B. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline – or relevant experience
- Experience working with utilities, industrial customers and/or construction customers in either a front in sales or marketing role
- Experience working in databases and data management
- Proven communication skills with demonstrated proactive collaboration and effective influencing skills
- Understanding of basic one-line electrical diagram
C. Main Accountabilities
- Customer Project interface: Take the lead in reviewing customers RFQ/specifications and ensuring our quotations are following the RFQ. Work with factory to ensure the customer and design specifications are being followed.
- Work with the marketing department to develop the support literature and collateral material necessary to support existing and new product developments
- Participate in customer events including customer visits, trade shows, customer events and the like as required to support growth of the product.
- Customer Interface: Work directly with our sales teams, channel partners and end-users to provide technical support, build relationships with and enhance JST’s position in the market and with customers.
- Collaborative mindset with continuous improvement capabilities
- Conduct training both internally and externally to improve product knowledge and penetration of the market.
- Support the production facility as required with engineering support and troubleshooting on an as needed basis.
