Position Overview
The Marketing Engineer – Dry Type Transformers supports the commercial and technical aspects of dry type transformer projects from quotation through customer engagement. This role works closely with the marketing team, sales organization, project managers, and project engineers to review customer specifications, prepare compliant quotations, and provide technical support. The position serves as a key interface between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering and production resources to support product growth and customer satisfaction.
A. Responsibilities and Duties
- Review customer RFQs and technical specifications to prepare accurate, compliant quotations for dry type transformer projects.
- Coordinate with factories and internal engineering teams to ensure customer and design requirements are fully understood and implemented.
- Interface with sales teams, sales representatives, channel partners, and end users to provide technical and commercial support.
- Support customer-facing activities, including job site visits, customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as required.
- Assist the production facility with engineering support and troubleshooting on an as-needed basis.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of dry type transformer standards and specifications, including applicable IEEE standards.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support the development and enhancement of the Salesforce RFQ portal.
B. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, job site visits, and corporate or industry events.
C. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing.
- Experience or strong interest in transformers, power distribution, or the electrical equipment industry.
- Ability to read and interpret basic one-line electrical diagrams.
- Understanding of cost accounting principles, cost analysis, and gross margin calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple RFQs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
