VPI transformers are an excellent alternative in applications that call for an environmentally friendly, economical solution. They reduce flammability concerns, require less maintenance, and are less prone to contaminating the surrounding environment than liquid-filled transformers, avoiding the need for catch basins during construction. Our VPI transformers are designed with NOMEX insulation. Its compact structure makes the electric field between insulation and cooling medium more uniform—reducing dielectric loss. NOMEX is non-toxic and is fire and moisture resistant for increased safety.
