Production Manager - Wytheville Facility

The Production Manager will build and oversee an Operations Team, working alongside Engineering, Marketing, Project Management, and Sales professionals. The core operations include the assembly and testing of pad mount, oil-filled transformers, and warranty servicing of returned units. This role requires leadership in people management, project management, lean production flow, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with all JST Power Equipment groups to set up, lead, manage, and execute customer orders and service requirements.

• Set up the new facility for success.
• Effective communication and reporting
• Knowledge of safety protocols and standards
• Implementation of ISO 9000:2015 & SAP Operating Systems
• Technical proficiency in transformer production and testing
• Maintaining high-quality standards for products while adhering to tight deadlines.
• Managing efficient use of resources to meet production goals.
• Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on milestones and deliverables for senior management.
• Ensuring proper maintenance of machinery to avoid production delays.
• Successfully coordinating client inspections and meeting expectations
• Developing production schedules and allocating resources effectively.
• Implementing measures to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality raw materials.
• Identifying and resolving production-related issues promptly.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams for cost optimization
• Team supervision including but not limited to training, staff development and succession planning.

• Partner as one of the primary contacts for all project-related communications, engaging with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and timelines.
• Ensure that all personnel, product, and the facility comply with the industry’s best practices and organizational standards.
• Identify potential risks associated with project implementation and propose risk mitigation strategies.
