Position Overview
Manager will oversee the security, maintenance, and operation of our Wytheville facility. This role ensures the efficiency and proper functioning of manufacturing equipment, heating and cooling systems, machinery, and production lines. The Facilities Manager will coordinate repairs, maintenance, and preventive maintenance as needed.
Our Wytheville facility is over 40,000 square feet with a small portion dedicated as administration/management office space and the remainder assigned to the core operations of manufacturing, warranty repair and assembly of Pad Mount and oil fill transformers.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify potential risks associated with building & equipment-propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Overseeing the repair of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Including the sourcing and procurement of all necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate licensed trades as required.
- Maintain compliance for all safety, fire and evacuation regulations, including records of inspections and compliance.
- Managing budgets and expenses related to facility maintenance and improvement projects.
- Coordinate and partner with all the departments within the facility to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency in operation.
- Team supervision including but not limited to hiring, training, staff development and succession planning.
- Problem-solving and decision-making

- Collaboration with cross-functional teams for cost optimization

Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED in combination with relevant facilities management experience.
- Certified Facilities Management (IFMA), preferred.
- Trade skills: preferably in all types of inputs (electrical, plumbing, ventilation, etc.)
- Prior experience in start-up of a new or existing facility of electrical transformers, is a plus.
